hi, we may be taking a vacation this summer to hawaii and I was very pleased to see there are chabad houses in hawaii--can you recommend a moderately priced hotel that is near you if we want to be around for shabbat?

when we went to Greece people recommended we spend only one day in Athens. I would second that. maybe a day and a half.
Also - there is an active shul - we tried to go for minchah because we thought some of the customs might be really interesting but it was closed - i think they had a shacharit minyan though. It might be worth it to check on the chabad website.
also Greece often gets food that is produced in Italy so the Italian Kosher lists might be useful. We found the tuna that was the kosher brand and on the label it said that it was produced in tuna so we were able to eat that with fresh veggies while we were there.

before we went to Italy we got info from Abbie about kosher yogurt, cheese, tuna (which we found, imported from Italy, in Greece too) and cereal and it saved us. It was really cheap because it was just normal Italian food and we were able to find it everywhere even in the small towns in cinque terra (which everyone should go to) you can check my post for more comments on where to go. But use Abbie's list for food.
